Magnum Rounds

"So I just... pack this full of as much gunpowder as possible?  That's the big secret?"

Recipe List:

Required Equipment:
Bullet Press or Specialized Hand Tools (Ammo)

Crafting Time: Short (15 minutes)

Description: When striking with Magnum Rounds you may call "2 Damage".   You must destroy your item card when you load Magnum Rounds, not reactively to using them.   Magnum Rounds count as ammunition for the sake of removing Disabled from a Cheap Firearm.   Using Magnum Rounds causes a weapon to be Disabled after combat regardless of its quality.

Covenant of Obedience

Preamble

I, (Name of the sworn), do solemnly and sincerely swear, in the presence of the Lightbringer and these witnesses, that I shall faithfully and diligently perform the duties and responsibilities assigned to me, as a member of (Name of the organization or role), with unwavering loyalty and adherence to its rules, regulations, and hierarchy.

In upholding this sacred covenant, I acknowledge the pride and order that the Lightbringer bestows upon our world. I hereby pledge my allegiance to the cause and promise to uphold the letter of the law, even as I navigate the intricate web of mortal desire, ambition, and weakness.

In exchange for my obedience, I shall receive the protection and guidance of the Lightbringer, who shall ensure that my actions are met with the appropriate rewards and consequences, shielding me from the uncertainty of human fallibility.

Consequences

Should I fail to uphold this covenant, I accept the wrath of the Lightbringer and the consequences of my transgressions, both physical and metaphysical. I understand that I may be marked as a traitor and face the retribution of the divine, as well as the loss of any privileges or protections granted to me by this covenant.

Conditions

(Advocatus may add or remove specific clauses to the covenant, tailoring it to their unique circumstances and granting them specific benefits or protections based on the number of active covenants they have created.)
(Ex. Privileged Access: The sworn individual shall gain access to restricted areas or information within the organization)

Benefit

For the intercessor with "A Taste of their Power", having an active Covenant of Obedience means they may gain respect of the group to which the forsworn is a member.

Covenant of Barter

Preamble: Under the Umbrean's watchful gaze, two souls convene to forge a pact, drawn together by ambition's whispers. Here we stand, the shadows our stage, the unknown our dance partner. Each step a gamble, we willingly embrace the uncertainty, ever-seeking mutual gain in this realm of veiled intentions.

Consequences: Woe betide the one who falters or strays from the covenant's path, for the Umbrean's wrath shall find them. The price of freedom, a weighty burden, demands recompense in equal measure to the transgression committed. In the dance of shadows, trust remains elusive; a heavy toll exacted for betrayal.

Conditions: [Sample Conditions]

  1. Each party agrees to deliver their respective goods or services, as determined in the shadows of whispered negotiations.
  2. The goods or services provided must satisfy that which remains unspoken, fulfilling the intended purpose to the satisfaction of both parties.
  3. Disputes or discord born from this covenant shall first seek resolution in the shadows before emerging into the light.

As the Umbrean's gaze lingers upon our every move, may we never forget the lessons hidden in the dance of shadows. Within the embrace of ambition and greed, our fates are bound, woven into a tapestry of uncertainty and intrigue.

Benefit

For the intercessor with "A Taste of their Power", having an active Covenant of Obedience means they may gain a small taste of the Barter at the start of each game.

Contest of Skill

Now, dance for me my sweet little monkeys

Requirements:

A prize (Cheap Gear+ or 4+ Salvage worth of goods)
3 Participants
3 Observers
A Decorated "Tournament Space"

Description: Hosting a Contest of Skill is a chance for a Socialite to begin to host events and gatherings.  The contest of skill pits a number of contestants against each other, either in high stakes like a sword tournament, or something a bit more lighthearted like a Sack Race or Pie Eating Contest.  Either one is sure to pull a crowd, though for different reasons (depending on the contents of the pie I suppose)

Bonus: In addition to winning the prize of the Event, the winner also gains either 1 Unstacking Hit Point or 1 [TBD].   All Observers gain the Inspired condition for the next Hour.

Favor Spends:
1 - Any individual may spend 1 favor to address the crowd before or after the main event, or speak to the winner and bestow the gift on behalf of the Socialite hosting the event
1 - A participant may spend 1 favor to [TBD]

Improvised Explosives

Hammer and Anvil

"You stack 'em up, I'll knock 'em down"

Required Participants:
1x Commander
1x Hammer (Any)
1x Anvil (Melee Wielding Fighter)

Establishment:
5 Minute Scene where Commander and Anvil/Hammer practice their maneuvers, executing on the cue of the Commander.

Bonuses:
The Anvil gains a "Knockback" call which they can only use if this Knockback would cause their target to wind up with their back to a solid object
The Hammer gains a "2 Damage Knockdown" call which they can only use immediately after a target is knocked back into a solid object.

These bonuses expire at the end of the next combat.  Using these calls removes the ability

Parasitic Algae

You may inject parasitic algae into the site of a wound.   You may remove the Battered condition from an individual, but the injection site becomes withered and unusable, gaining a Maim on the chosen limb.

Rituals

Ascendant Boon:

Lightbringer Greater Boon:
Aura of Command - You may use the call "By My [Rank] Authority, Compell" along with one or two words.  Everyone who acknowledges your authority must obey you.  Doing this disables your rank, you may spend your rank to use it again.

Lightbringer Lesser Boon:
Return to Order - Using this disabled your rank.  Place your hands on an individual and use the call "By My [Rank] Authority, Remove Phsical Complication"  This may only be used on someone lower rank than you.

Umbrean Greater Boon:

Whispered Secrets - You may use the call "By My [Rank] Authority, Reveal: Unveil a secret".   The individual you've targetted knows this ability has been used on them, and it only functions if they are lower rank than you.  You may only use it on one individual and only after speaking with them.  Doing this disables your rank, you may spend your rank to use it again.

Umbrean's Cloak - You may hide yourself by throwing a black cloth over yourself or your allies and using the call "By my [Rank], Conceal: Veil" and as long as you and however many people can be considered covered by your blanket
