Guilds

Characters may join any number of Guilds. These do not count against your skill heading maximums. Generally speaking Guilds offer you some kind of prestige in game, and offer a way to make income, but don't generally offer in-play abilities. Guilds require training and also have specific requirements to 'Advance' your rank in the Guild.

Generally speaking Guilds are gateways to acting as a "Mini-Storyteller" and often players who have a Guild Membership are actually a conduit to either running games for other players (Scouts) or making sure certain types of interaction are handled safely (Arbiters)

A Brief List of Guilds:

The Scouts - While anyone can, and does, wander the Wastes. The Scouts guild knows where all the best routes are and can get you safely to and from where you're going. (Scouts act as Moderators and Storytellers of "Wasteland Adventure" vignettes)

The Family - Crime is alive and well in Chalcedony, and the Family has a stranglehold on organized crime. Seeking out a member of The Family is the best way to pull something off while avoiding the Legion's ire (The Family act as Moderators and Storytellers of "Crime Scene" Vignettes)

Arbiters - The honorable order of Arbiters help to adjudicate noble duels through fisticuffs. These are brawlers and madmen bent to hand-to-hand fighting in a world of bullets and blades (Arbiters act as Referees/Marshalls for Brawling contests)
